Project description:
Automatic watering sprinkler system designed by using microcontroller, PIC 16F877A works by controlling the amount of water that depends on the size of plants. Consumers can always setting the time on how long the plant needs water, and what types of liquid the plants need. The system is automatic; consumer does not have to be there to physically apply the water. This will prevent the excessive water to the crops and the wastage of water can be avoided.
Objective :
1) To develop a smart automatic watering sprinkler system that automatically control the watering system in plants by using humidity sensor
2) To design the automatic controller circuits by using the combination of software and hardware

Conclusion:
Automatic watering sprinkler system has two specified features where it includes the humidity sensor and two different liquids composition that can be controlled automatically. The benefits of this project are easy to control and more efficient. With this proposed project, it can develop a new technology in agriculture sector. Generally, all the objectives were accomplished.

Analysis :
From the poster it will describe everything about the project. The assessor can understand about the project from the poster. Block diagram can explain more clearly based on the block show. The block diagram shows the input and the output from the PIC. From the result it will display the water flow from the valve A, B and C. The conclusion is concluding about the whole project.
Conclusion :
As the conclusion the poster is the most important thing to describe about our project. When the assessor read all the data and information on the poster it will give them satisfaction and just ask when they don’t know certain about the project.

week 11
Title : compile all the result
objective : to make sure all the circuit is function and see the result
Procedure :
1) Testing the circuit suitable with the hardware
2) Testing functionality the valve

Analysis :
When testing the circuit, it is suitable and matches with the hardware; it proves when the circuit functions, the water is come out from the valve. Valve a, b, c represent the different area crops, it will come out on the time that we set. For the humidity sensor, it calibrate on 100. Below 100 it show the crops need the water, and the water will come out on valve a, b and c. Above 100 it will function automatically and do the program that it will set depend on the consumer such as how long the crops need a water and what types liquid crops need.
Conclusion:
As a conclusion the result achieve what we expected, and the circuit is function when it matches with the hardware. The combination of the circuit and the hardware is important to produce the output based on we need.

Objective:
• To ensure the circuit is working properly when combined with hardware part
• To study about wiring / connection output circuit with AC load and AC power supply
Content/Procedure:
• Check the connection overall circuit with AC load and AC power supply
• Turn On the switch and run the project

• In this part, correctly wiring is important. The DC voltage must connect to the PIC circuit, while 240 Volts AC supply connect to the valve and pump circuit.
Run the project
Analysis:
For the analysis in this task, the important note is how connection the output circuits with AC load and AC power supply. If wrong connection the circuit probably the component burn and if the projector touch the circuit, it feel some electric shock so to avoid this thing, exact connection must be applied.
Conclusion:
As a conclusion, the project is working properly when the overall part is connected and full of the expected. So, this objective is achieved.

Title : troubleshoot all the circuit
Procedure :
1) Multimeter
2) Supply
3) Wire
Analysis :
For the PIC circuit, it used 5 volt for the operation, for the supply I used 12 volt adaptor. When the supply 12 volt inject to the PIC circuit, it will automatically 5 volt supply to PIC. It is because it have voltage regulator on the circuit.

Based on picture above, it show the voltage when the PIC sending a signal to a valve circuit. For the valve and pump circuit it use directly plug in 240 volt.
Analysis :
As we know, PIC circuit is the most important thing to control this project. This circuit also use 5 volt to operated. From this circuit we can see the voltage regulator, so to operate the circuit, we must use adaptor 12 volt. Normally 12 volt and the voltage will stepdown by voltage regulator. For the valve circuit, it use 124 volt and high voltage. The safety is more important thing when to testing the circuit. From the troubleshooting the circuit, it has several problem can be detected:
1) When the circuit from input signal doesn’t have diode, it will burn the circuit when we got wrong on polarity connection. The diode will protect immediately the circuit. It wills shutdown the circuit automatically.
2) Shorting between the signal because of the soldering. Disconnect the soldering and soldering again.
Conclusion :
As the conclusion, in this part we know how to troubleshoot all the circuit and the objective is successful

week 8
Title: design the hardware and mechanical part for this project
Objective:
• To build hardware for this project
• To ensure the hardware and mechanical part suitable with circuit
Content/Procedure:
• Design the suitable part
• Used the suitable instrument to build this hardware
• Arrange the overall part
For the hardware part the first thing is need to design the pipe for the sprinkler.

Next step is design the tank for the storage water for sprinkler

Place the circuit at the transparent board, need careful to place the circuit it is because the water can damage the circuit it have leaking on the pipe
Analysis :
From the picture above the types that designing the mechanical structure for automatic watering sprinkler system, the design is basically get from idea from the journal and book based on existing product. The pipe connection more important because if had a leaking, it will damage on circuit. The prototype also small, so it is easy to carry and testing the hardware.
Conclusion :
To make some design, we must take note all this aspect such as material that will be used, their costing, product, sizing, item endurance and also their usage. If we miss some of that part, the design will not completely useful.
week 7
Title of the activity: Test or troubleshoot the interfacing circuit between PIC circuit with Output circuit
Objective:
• To know the circuit function properly
• To troubleshoot when the circuit have a problem
Content/Procedure:
• Burn the program into PIC circuit
• Check the program related or not with PIC circuit
• Interface the PIC circuit with output circuit
• Check again and ensure the overall circuit working as expected and is same with simulate in proteus

• For this project, at the PIC circuit I burn the program as directly and not use other out interface component because in software MPlab IDE have a PICkit2 software and just connected the wire from computer to PIC circuit but make sure at the PIC circuit have a pin IDC10 connector with PIC and it one of component from In Circuit Serial Programing ( ICSP )
• Conclusion:
Circuit is working properly and knows how to burn the program into PIC, troubleshoot circuit also interfacing PIC circuit with Output circuit have done. So, in this task the objective is achieved.

conclusion:
for the conclusion,the program that build from the MPLAB sucesfully match for the simulation on the circuit. The declaration on the port at PIC is easy to make a command after define the suitable port for input and output.

Analysis:
Basically, using proteus software will make easy to design the actual circuit. The component used already install in software,so student should build all connection at the input and output pin at PIC. Circuit will design based on the block diagram refer step function. For the example at PIC 16F877A, it have Port A,B,C and D where each port have their own operation function. Student must define each port to make their operation based on the block diagram or planning.
Conclusion:
Using proteus software will help student understand to connect the circuit based on PIC performance. In this work, connection between components is important to make circuit will operation smoothly when applying the program (ASM). If the connection have a problem, this software will show where the connection wrong.

week 1
Proceed to the next level from fyp semester 1, I do some research from the work flow to do some confirmation what type of circuit have to run my project. For the conclusion I came out with two circuit which is :
1) PIC circuit
2) Valve circuit
1) PIC circuit
The main circuit controlling all the functionality of the process, such as the valve circuit, it will display the time that we set for the sprinkler. On liquid crystal display (LCD) it will display the time and the condition of the humidity sensor.
2) Valve circuit
The second circuit from the interfacing PIC circuit, it will controlling when the valve is functionality and controlling the water pump to suck water from the pump.
From the conclusion, it is very important to understand the both of circuit, classified the type and its function all of the circuit to make sure there is no problem occur in the future in the part of the combination the circuit and the programming development.
